The below activities are offered to all our SWM member's. If you want to hear more about activities, add an activity to this page or run an activity for our group, get in touch.

Apart from Yoga and Bowls, we ask that payment for the activities are paid up front. Payments are not refundable. When you pay for your activity sessions by bank transfer, put your name and activity as your reference (e.g. walkeryoga), click here for bank details. Boxercise

Join our Non-Contact Boxing for Parkinson's: improve mobility, balance & strength with punching drills & coordination exercises. Boost fitness & confidence. No experience needed, just spirit! The course of four sessions costs £16. Please pay at the beginning of the course

Hydrotherapy

The course consists of four classes. Hydrotherapy is warm water exercises. The class complete group exercises that focus on balance, strengthening, cardiovascular exercises and most importantly having fun. You will be in the water with a trained physiotherapist and will be accompanied poolside should you need anything. You will receive more information when you are accepted for a class.

Physiotherapy with Horizon Rehabilitation

Seated Exercise

This group is suitable for those who have not been assessed, assessed as level 3 or who prefer to exercise whilst sitting. Seated exercise is a moderate intensity activity, including co-ordination and brain training activities to stimulate the neural circuits affected by Parkinson’s. These sessions are fun and engaging, mixing up the music and activities so there is something for everyone. Everyone can benefit from these exercises, no matter what your ability level.

High level standing class

This group is run by a qualified physiotherapist. The exercises are adapted to be suitable for all those attending, and participants will need to be assessed before they can join in this class. Carers, friends, partners are asked to remain on site for participants who need support with mobility/personal needs. If you are interested and have not been assessed, we recommend that you come along to the seated class first and our physiotherapist will be able to complete the screening tasks with you.
