Being Active with Parkinson’s Please read this guide from Parkinson's UK on how to keep active with Parkinson's.

Online exercise classes There are a large number of Parkinson’s UK YouTube classes

Our local PureGyms are: Maidenhead, Unit 2, Stafferton Way, Maidenhead SL6 1AY and Burnham, 821A Yeovil Road, SL1 4JB

Braywick Leisure Centre, Residents of Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and hold an Advantage Card receive a discount on certain activities. Unpaid carers in RBWM and have a Free Time Out Card can use the facilities at Braywick Leisure Centre.

Parkinson’s UK collaboration with Everyone Active This gives free membership to everyone with Parkinson’s and their carers. Membership includes: • use of gym equipment, swimming facilities (where applicable), group exercise classes • EXi digital, a prescribed physical activity programme and Synergy Dance online classes. Our local centres are: The Centre (Slough), Slough Ice Arena, Salt Hill Activity Centre, Langley Leisure Centre, Bracknell Leisure Centre.

Neuro Heroes Community Exercise Fund Neuro Heroes are an online physical activity provider which supports people with neurological conditions. Neuro Heroes offer 6 free live online physiotherapist-led classes for people with Parkinson’s and are in receipt of Universal Credit or Pension Credit/have been referred. After 6 funded sessions, ongoing classes are available at £5 a week/class for 1 year.

Helpline The helpline is a free confidential service by trained advisers, providing support, advice and all aspects of living with Parkinson's to anyone affected by Parkinson's. They can also put you in touch with a Parkinson's adviser if you need more local or in-depth support.

Call companions with Re-engage is a telephone befriending service ensuring older people stay connected with the outside world.

Parkinson’s UK Shop has a good selection of daily living aids, adjustable beds, stair lifts, stationery, gifts and Parkinson’s merchandise.

First Steps Programme is an online programme for people recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and their family, friends and supporters.

Fighting Fit Fighting Fit is a residential weekend for people newly diagnosed with Parkinson's and their loved ones, focusing on physical activity, well-being and support.

The Yellow Card scheme is where you can report any side effects with your medication.
