YOPD and Working age

Most people diagnosed with Parkinson's are aged 50 or over but younger people can also get it too. Chatting to others in a similar situation can be helpful. People with Young Onset Parkinson's are often still balancing careers and family commitments, and are generally still active and mobile.

The group meets in Reading and surrounding areas. They arrange their own social events including monthly walks, pub meet ups and have a WhatsApp group.


The group welcomes those with Parkinson's, as well as carers, partners, friends and everyone who would like to support anyone with YOPD. For more information and details of meet up and events, please Contact Ben at: [email protected]
